Lightweight fluid or gel formulations may feel more comfortable for individuals concerned about shine.

Lifestyle and environmental factors should also be considered. Avoiding heavy occlusive cosmetics, minimizing friction from tight headwear, and limiting frequent face touching can reduce additional pore blockage. Consistency is critical, as visible improvement in comedonal acne often requires eight to twelve weeks due to the natural cycle of follicular turnover.
